Spinal Rehab Therapy
Hot Packs & Electrical Muscle Stimulation
These are two therapies that are typically performed together. The hot packs warm the muscles and the electrical muscle stimulator breaks muscle spasms, works the muscle, and balances the mirrored muscles on the right and left sides of the body.
These therapies are only used when necessary. They are most helpful with patients with chronic pain or posture challenges.
Mechanical Traction (Roller Bed)
Infuses motion into the spine
The Swinger is a pathway back to spinal movement, muscular equalization (meaning the Swinger allows the muscles (on both sides of the spine) to become equally the same length, helping to settle muscle spasm. Those with advanced arthritis would be a candidate for this therapy.
J- Board (Electronic Wobble Board)
This active therapy is an aggressive therapy and requires some history or involvement in active exercise. It is an approach to the re-establishment of balance, muscle tone and stability.
